Who We Are?

Newberry Community

Newberry Springs is an unincorporated community in the western Mojave Desert of  Southern California, located at the foot of the Newberry Mountains in San Bernardino County, California.

We are a widespread community with a variety of opportunities in agriculture, traveler services and recreation. The population at the 2000 census was 2,895 but has declined a bit in recent years. A battle over water rights has impacted many in our community whose livelihood depends on our aquifer, the largest in the western United States.

Church

Extraordinary relationships

We treasure the relationships we have with each other. A precious part of each time that we gather together is a purposeful time to greet and encourage one another.

The common bond of the love of our Savior overcomes the wide diversity of age, race, language and background in our church body. We hope to share in each other’s joys and sorrows as we grow in our relationship with our Savior and in our understanding His Word.

Our Core Values

We believe the Bible to be God’s inspired message to us. That all men have fallen short of God’s standard and are in need of a Savior. That Jesus is God’s only Son, wholly God and wholly man. That He died for our sins and rose again. That salvation is by grace through faith alone. That all men will live forever in heaven or hell based solely on their relationship with Jesus.
