AWANA Camp Scholarship
Sunday School Camp Scholarship
Our camp scholarship programs are designed to help kids go to camp this summer. The coronavirus has disrupted our scholarship programs and added some uncertainty regarding the availability of our camps.
In the past week, we have had communications from both Ironwood and Joy Bible Camp. Both camps are preparing for camp this summer—in Ironwood’s case, for either a full summer or a reduced schedule. Let’s pray for God’s opening a door for camp this summer.
Both scholarship programs involved consistent attendance at Sunday School or AWANA Club and considerable Scripture memorization. Because of the coronavirus, attendance requirements have been dropped, but the Scripture memorization requirements remain. AWANA clubbers must have their sections signed off with an AWANA leader—and Sunday School students must recite the entire passage to their Sunday School teacher—by Sunday, May 31.
We intended to take offerings for the Sunday School Camp Scholarship in April and for the AWANA Camp Scholarship in early May. Because we were not gathering as a church, offerings were not received at those times.
The need remains. If the Lord is prompting your heart to give to these scholarship funds, you may designate your gift at the church website or on your check mailed to the church PO box. Blessings!
